A few life updates

I haven't been posting as frequently as I'd like. Life has been busy (for a change).

I thought I'd post a brief update on what's been going on the last few months.

1. My little nephew was born in December and I've been trying to spend as much time as possible with him. He's the squishiest little pumpkin. I've happily embraced my Cool Auntie™️ role.

2. I now work full-time, so blogging and being on the internet in general has taken a backseat for now. I still love a browse through Tumblr and Pinterest after work, but blogging is harder due to time and a lack of energy. I will still try my best to post regularly. Going from 20 hours a week to 40 has knackered me out, but I know I'll get used to it with time.

3. I got back into Animal Crossing in March. The 3.0 update has revived my motivation, so I've been playing as often as I can. I have a Japanese town-inspired island but it isn't 100% finished yet, and I haven't updated my DA in around 2 years, so when it's done I'll be sure to share. I'm currently working on my beaches, which is proving to be a struggle because I have so many ideas and so little space.

4. I am 98% done with my bedroom renovation. Remind me to never do it again! It does look a lot better though - I had extra plug sockets fitted so my floor isn't covered in wires anymore, I had the walls painted in Dulux's Fine Cream Matt which has made the room feel a million times more cosy, I had a new carpet fitted a few weeks ago and it is so plush, my step-dad fitted some new shelves above my bed and desk for stationery, notebooks, and my ever-growing collection of plushies, and I have a brand new BILLY bookcase that has provided me with so much extra space for books (so I can now go book shopping and not feel bad). I will document the whole process once it's finished.

5. I went to Nottingham to see Punch at the Nottingham Playhouse on the 26th of March. It was an absolute emotional rollercoaster. I loved it from start to finish. It was an easy 10/10. A 12/10, even. Unreal. I sobbed my little heart out at the end. So happy I finally got to experience it - I was in London when it was on at the Young Vic but tickets were more than what I wanted to pay at the time, so I left it. So thankful it returned to Nottingham.

6. I'm going to York tomorrow for 5 days. Treating myself to a solo trip to one of my favourite places on earth. I will most likely be posting lots of photos on my Instagram if you want to follow along. I plan on doing a mixture of sightseeing and shopping - considering going to either Harrogate or Knaresborough for an afternoon on one of the days, haven't made my mind up yet.

And that's that!
