Like many others, September makes me think of Back to School shopping.
My mum would take me to get my uniform for the year, then we'd go to Wilko's or Stationery Box (showing my age there) and she'd buy me new pens, pencils, and of course, a snazzy new pencil case. My favourite kind were those multi compartment ones with the buttons that would pop out a pencil sharpener or a tiny calculator. Turns out I loved storage solutions even as a child.
That Back to School buzz never left me. To me, September feels like the real new year. The month of new beginnings, fresh starts, and shedding things that hold us back, like clutter and negativity. I always get the urge to break out a new notebook and reorganise my entire life. That desire, I recently learned, is known as the September Reset, and is a rhythm ingrained in us from our school days.
Below I've put together a small selection of stationery items that are fun, well-made, unique, and most importantly, useful. Grown-up stationery doesn't have to be boring, and your work desk doesn't have to be lacking in colour and beauty.
